I love newborns!

Today I got the chance to take some photos of a brand new baby girl. Only 4 days old!!!
I didnt know really what I was doing, but one thing for sure was I was going to make this easy on her. After I positioned her how I wanted, I comforted her until she feel asleep. She really like her pacifier, so I had to sneek it out after she dozed off.

I was excited that the weather was warm outside, so we ventured out. She didnt seem to mind at all:)

Another highlight was I got to use my new fringe blanket that I put together over last week.

Make your own fringe blanket!

So Iv so been wanting one of these:

Only thing is they sell for over $70 on ETSY.
So I decided to make my own. Total cost =$ 13.31, and approx. 3 hrs of my time.

It was so much easier then I thought it would be too!

The first thing you need to do is find some way to keep all the stands together, I just crocheted a strip.
Here I did the U-loop & pull through method to attatch the long pieces of yarn.

Then just fill it in. Heres mine with just one color.

After two more colors are added....

I want mine really full, So I will most likely be adding 2 more colors. Add about $10 more bucks to the $13 = Less then $25. Much better the $70 :)

been busy.....

Whew I have been a busy bee lately! Between my kiddos, work, and pictures its been a little crazy. But iv been having a blast. Iv done lots of photoshoots! I havent been posting that many on my blog because Iv been putting them on my website. And why hasent anyone ever mentioned how much effort goes into making a website!?!? Iv spent lots of time on it, but its still rough. Hopefully I will have it completed by summer or so.

So here is a few of my favorites Iv done within the last week or so...

Oh! & I got a new camera. It isnt the Canon Markii I so badly want, but it will do until I can save up some more pennies. Its a canon 60d, and I love it. Came with a pretty neat lens too.
A couple of things I have learned in the last couple weeks 1) Bright sun is BAD BAD BAD for photography. 2) Cloudy days make the best pictures. 3) Good photo-editing takes a really long time!
Well, until next time lovies :).....
